~Jennifer here~ Our new Percheron/Clydesdale mare sharing her dinner with our little orphan foal. Can you believe it? She just weaned her own foal a few days ago, and although she is very thin, she still has lots of milk. Tomorrow the Vet is coming and we will have her checked over. If the Vet thinks she is ok, perhaps she can be his Nanny Mare? We will take Vet advice regarding this, but she saw him and wanted to be with him so we let them meet. She seems to really like him. Fingers crossed that with lots of feed and supplements, she may be healthy enough to raise him. We were not expecting this to happen, but they were so natural together and she invited him to share her feed. It was such a lovely moment.
