Jeremiah 18: 4 and marred is the vessel that he is making, as clay - TopicsExpress

Jeremiah 18: 4 and marred is the vessel that he is making, as clay in the hand of the potter, and he hath turned and he maketh it another vessel, as it was right in the eyes of the potter to make. Philipians 1: 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of [Yahusha Messiah]: Revelation 3:9 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Why all this religion but all this unfulfillment? Its a battle of wills. The clay is consistently trying to shape itself in spite of the creative and powerful hands of the potter. This lump of nothingness is further boasting in its own existence though it has no remembrance or knowledge beyond its existence. How arrogant the lump, knowing nothing other than what its been told by older clay lumps of nothingness. Putting more trust in older clay than the potter Himself. But how would it know the reality of the potter unless the potter began to put dents in what the self-assuming clay thought itself to be. Spinning it around on that potters wheel until it conforms. Shaping it into marvelousness without its permission or authority, but only with its cooperation. And then the foolish clay, after the shaping begins, begins to look at itself only to start gloating over its shape and gloriousness. To finish His work, the potter has to keep putting dents in the unruly clay and messing with its shape for it to finally realize it has no power to mold itself into perfect form. No control, no shape, no image, no ability to be anything other than a lump of deceived nothingness apart from the potter keeping His hands on it...continuing to shape it into perfection.
