Jerry Roseberry, 82 years old and a resident at Beatitudes Campus, is taking his passion to the steps of the United Nations when he boards the “Climate Train” next week. Jerry and more than 100,000 other people across the country are participating in The People’s Climate March (peoplesclimate.org/march/) on September 21 to draw attention to the major global crisis of climate change. This unprecedented march will happen two days before world leaders meet at the UN to discuss the global crisis of climate change. The Beatitudes Campus residents are activists in sustainability and have formed a group, Elders for Sustainability. This group has instituted many sustainable practices at Beatitudes Campus. Today they invited the campus residents to a Send Off Celebration. Watch for Jerry’s adventures on the Climate Train and in the march.
