Jerry Wade taught the first class in the graduate program at Mizzou in Community Development. Decades before its time, it was a curriculum based on systems science and thinking...something that is todays state of the art. He also introduced the concept of the rusty bucket theory of economic development. He was an influential thinker and practitioner. Jerry was a partner on the team that established the field and practice of community development in the U.S.
