Jerry update: Couple of tough days trying to figure out nutrition. For various reasons they would rather not use a tube or IV feeding. They are hoping the condition of his mouth and throat will improve so he can increase the quantity and variety of food. Today he couldnt eat anyway because he needed a scope procedure to check his throat. His skin is starting to look really good. I was concerned that the antibiotic was bringing on the red itchy rash again. Reported his redness last evening, so today he was also getting an antihistamine. He spent the day half awake and half asleep, and when I left, he was just starting to be with it. He was ready to try pudding and broth. His nurse thought he might be able to eat cheese cake. Yum. Expect another two weeks of antibiotics. He loved his mail today. Thank you!
