Jersey City parks are closing today at 6 p.m. and residents should - TopicsExpress

Jersey City parks are closing today at 6 p.m. and residents should stay out of the parks during the storm tonight and tomorrow and immediately after as heavy snow can make tree limbs dangerous. Residents should also avoid standing under trees heavy with snow for prolonged periods of time. Department of Public Works/Division of Parks & Forestry will be out today, tomorrow and following the storm to remove any dangerous limbs and keep sidewalks clear of fallen tree limbs. While everyone enjoys playing in the snow following a storm, residents are reminded to take caution as heavy snow can cause limbs to snap. If you see tree limbs that are a hazard, please call the Resident Response Center at 201-547-4900 or 201-547-5566 so a DPW crew can be dispatched to remove the limb.
