"Jesse suddenly stopped as he passed the Cross and heard the Word of God going forth. He had such a desperate look in his eyes while clutching two beer bottles in his hand. There was no leading into this one. There was no need for small talk. "How long are you going to wait to completely surrender control of your life over to the Lord Jesus? You have walked in bondage, disappointment and condemnation for years and it is taking and will continue to take everything that you have ever valued - including your soul," I said. "I know, I know," he replied with his eyes dropping towards the dirty pavement of Bourbon Street. I took hold of him and begin to pray- binding every power of the adversary that he had yielded himself to and calling upon the Spirit of God to convict his heart and bring him to repentance. His knees buckled and he dropped to the street weeping. Continuing to pray together, we cried out for a transformation to take place in his heart and life and for God to ignite a passion for His presence and a disdain for all things representative of the old destructive life. Please pray for Jesse and for him to get and stay connected to men of God that will encourage him in the faith."
