Jessica Pittaway, Bellydance instructor, performer, and Director of The Belly Hive Bellydance Instruction Studio, is pleased to announce the opening of Grass Valleys only Bellydance instruction studio. The Belly Hive is located at 205 W. Main St., Suite A&B in Downtown Grass Valley. Nevada Countys newest addition to our talented, and vast community of dance artists, dance instructors, and dance studios, is setting itself apart from previous local Bellydance instruction options, by offering, at one dance studio, a wide variety of instruction opportunities for multiple modern, and historic, Bellydance techniques. The Belly Hive offers regular classes, and workshops, with an ever growing list of some of our most esteemed local Bellydance instructors. The Belly Hive is a dance instruction studio that focuses only on the known Dances of the Orient, and their respective modern interpretations, creating a unique opportunity for the Bellydance student, from very beginner, to the advanced, to be able to explore an education within this diverse, ancient, and complex form of dance. The Belly Hive celebrates the history of the Bellydance community here in Nevada County, and hopes to bring in an ever revolving door of locally, and nationally recognized Bellydance instructors to teach regular classes, and at specialty workshop events. The Belly Hive will be celebrating its opening night with a free open house event on Friday November 1st from 5-8pm at The Belly Hive in Downtown Grass Valley. Opening night celebrations include Free Bellydance Classes throughout the evening with instructors Jessica Pittaway, Kathleen Ames, and Rachel Lazarus, as well as, a chance to shop for beautiful Bellydance couture from some of our local artists, such as Shiva Moon, Once-a Creations, Da-vinch Studios, and more.
