Jesus Changes Hearts....... In Luke 9:53-56 we read that Jesus and His disciples were on the way to Jerusalem and then Jesus sent His disciples ahead to find a small Samaritan village inn. The people there were scared and refused them accommodation. Thats when John and James turned to Jesus and asked Him whether they (the disciples) should punish the people with fire from heaven that would consume their city. Jesus answered them with the following words Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are. The moment you truly give your heart to Jesus things really start happening to you. You are a new creation in Jesus.The Holy Spirit lives in you your voice is softer you think differently there is an extraordinary serenity in you you reflect on the words that come from your lips and you become more like Jesus. Lets call it the Jesus Spirit......This is why Jesus rebuked His disciples. Although they were with Him every day they sometimes acted sinfully and they did not carry the Spirit of Jesus in their hearts. They wanted to express their dissatisfaction by destroying the people and their city...... Therefor I ask you today.... Do your have Christ’s Spirit in your heart... Consider the heart of our Father. Joel 2:13 “Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God for He is gracious and compassionate slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.” Has someone let you down or disappointed you..... Let me invite you to have a “Jesus Spirit” in your heart. Speak blessings not curses life not death. This is how your heart should be if Jesus is living in you and you in Him.
