Jesus Christ already won (in the battle of the Great Controversy) when He was on the cross at Calvary. How could He when we still have The Great Controversy going on today (in our various lives: as individuals)? Well first of all, God already told the devil and mankind the plan to destroy sin: plan of salvation: through Jesus Christ: or in other words, said in His Own Words that Jesus Christ born of man: as a human in all forms: as a perfect example: represents humanity would destroy/win over satan in the Great Controversy! (Quoted in Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. Literally speaking in a common sense of understanding, when bruised from the heel someones hurt, but when bruised from the head someone dies) But why allow time to run (prolonging the existence of the Great Controversy) when Jesus already won? Well, Jesus Had to become a man to bear/carry mans/humanitys burden (the wages of sin: in all forms: tempted)and to overcome save man/humanity from the wages of sin. Or in other words, out of Love He did, out of Love He saved, cause He is love. Meaning, if He had just destroyed the world/sin/sinners/devil/evil right after His victory, it would seem that He is forcefully enforcing justice: or in other words, we do not have the power of choice, but just have to go along as robots or puppets to Gods choice (and that wouldnt be out of Love!), metaphorically speaking. Yes, God is waiting for your choice because you have the power of choice to choose between God (the winner) or satan (the looser): that is why time is still running/counting down (in which no one, even the devil knows when it might end or stop). John 5:28-30 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the grave will hear His voice and come forth-those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. So what will happen to the looser/s (satan and his followers: those who choose evil) when time ends (The Book of Probation closes)? One word my friends, Destroyed. Yes destroyed along with the curse/s of sin, arent you happy? Rev 20: 10 The devil, who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophets are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Rev 20:14-15 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. But remember: John 5:24 Most assuredly I say to you, he who hears My Word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
