Jesus Loves You by Ron Bedell I’ve talked to people who think that God hates them or they think there is no God. Actually, there is a God and He loves you. When God created Adam and Eve, He created them perfect and without sin. God had created the perfect universe and He created the perfect humans in an environment of peace, love, and prosperity. But it was Satan who brought sin into the world. Satan corrupted God’s perfect universe; Satan corrupted God’s perfect earth; and Satan corrupted God’s perfect human beings. It was Satan who brought sin into the world, not God. Sin eternally separates us from God (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23). God is holy and perfect. Therefore, God took action and He sent His perfect Son, Jesus Christ, to die a horrible death for you and me. Jesus took our place on the cross and Jesus satisfied all of God’s just demands on us, the sinner. And it is Jesus who gives us His perfect righteousness (Philippians 3:9) so we can enter God’s perfect Heaven. It takes perfection to get to Heaven (Revelation 21:27) and none of us are perfect. But God freely offers us His perfection through His Son Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:9). God proved His love for you and me when He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (Jesus).” 2 Corinthians 5:21 God’s gift of eternal life for you and me is completely free, no strings attached (Ephesians 2:8-9).
