Jesus Words~ Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Several years ago I taught a lesson on forgiveness and right after church I told my husband that I would surely encounter someone I needed to ask for forgiveness. I just felt it in my spirit. The next day I got an instant craving for Freds Hickory Inns BBQ. I sat down at the table and looked over and there the person sit that several years earlier I had called every name in the book (that was before I started back to church) and even came across the desk at him only to be held back by the owner of the business! I thought, Oh God not him, but IMMEDIATELY I got up and went to his table, asked if he remembered who I was. He snickered as he said Yes so I extended my hand and asked for his forgiveness. There was another gentleman at the table that surely heard an ugly story when I left the room, but boy did I ever feel refreshed and clean from that moment forward. See the reason I said Oh God not him wasnt because I didnt want to be obedient, but because I was so embarrassed about my actions that day that I was so mad. To make things worse it was a black man and I had used the N word several times. It was a horrible scene. I am NOT proud of the way I acted but I have been able to use my testimony to encourage others. Its Satans business to keep us under condemnation but God wants us to be free of all that bondage. So, Who do you need to forgive today? Do you need to ask someone for forgiveness?
