Jesus bore the penalty for our sin. Whosever believes on Him shall have eternal life. The penalties of sin before Christ were swift and severe. Not only did we move from law to grace but from death to life in Christ but from living under the weight and guilt of the law. Understanding our position IN Christ is vital to our witness before men. Many Claim to be Christian but they deny this grace He has provided. To self impose penalties on ourselves for failing to be perfect is to deny the power of what and who Christ is. To humbly accept this marvelous gift of salvation is freedom in Christ. In Him not in ourselves We need not beat ourselves up over and over for our failures. Instead we look to Christ and confess our inability to do anything to either save ourselves over and over or to forgive our own sins. He did all of that on the cross. We are in effect hidden in Christ. What a wonderful freeing spectacular event is our salvation. !!
