Jesus gave a parable of a steward whom the master gave everything - TopicsExpress

Jesus gave a parable of a steward whom the master gave everything he had to manage. The master must have been a very wealthy man, but he entrusted his entire estate to this steward. The steward took laws into his hands and became extravagant with the masters resources. Soon, the master heard about it and invited the steward to give an account of his management. Giving an account of ones management is something everyone must do at the end. God has entrusted many things to us and we shall account for how we use them. We are mere caretakers of whatever we possess. Our lives are gifts from God. Our talents do not really belong to us, but to God. Our wealth is entrusted to us by God. Whatever thing we have is for God. At the end of our life, God will ask us an accounting of our lives. God will ask us how we use our talents; how we use our opportunities; God will ask us to give an account of how we managed our time; we shall be asked to account for the graces given to us; God will ask us to draw an account of our blessings, wealth and resources; God will ask us to give an account of our relationship with other people, especially the poor. Not every account is acceptable. I am sure you dont want to give an account that will be rejected. This is time to begin to plan for the future. The shrewd steward planned for his future and he won his masters approval. It is time for us to ask ourselves where we shall spend our eternity: heaven or hell? Where we finally spend our eternity depends on how we manage the blessing that God has given to us on earth. If something is given to you to manage, it means you are not the real owner of that thing. You are merely a representative of the owner when it comes to the use of that thing. The way you manage the gifts of God should be the way God wants you to use them. He is to give you instruction on what to do with his gift. Thanks all for reading it.
