Jesus resurrection is why we celebrate Easter, but his death by - TopicsExpress

Jesus resurrection is why we celebrate Easter, but his death by crucifixion is what saved us all, all that choose to believe in him. Let me explain more. Lets say we are in the courtroom, We are on trial for theft, the evidence against us is overwhelming, and we are found guilty by the Judge. Just as the judge delivers our sentence our attorney notes to the judge that he already paid our fines for us. The judge takes note of that and we are dismissed. We are truly grateful to our attorney and the price he paid for we knew the evidence against us. Stay with me here. God is the ultimate judge, someday, maybe today, we will stand before him for our crimes (Sin). The Bible says ALL have sinned and fallen short of Gods glory. God is so pure that any one sin disallows us from being with him. That being said, what do we do? Well, we hire the best attorney we know, Jesus. What will happen is this. God will judge us by the Ten Commandments (Deuteronomy 5:6-21) and we will be found guilty, and he will deliver the sentence. Our sentence will be death. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death. Now here is the kicker. If we do as Romans Chapter 10 verse 9 says, which is, Confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. In verse 13 of the same chapter it states that who ever calls upon Jesus will be saved. Jesus as our attorney has paid the ultimate fine for us already. When he died on the cross, it was for all the sins of mankind! All your sins, all my sins (which are many) He didnt have to pay our fine, but because he Loves us so much, he did. We just have to choose now for him to be our attorney. So today as we celebrate Jesus resurrection and conquering of Death. If you have never before, or have, and gotten away from him, please consider Jesus to be your representative in the final courtroom, as we stand before God. After all, he has already paid our fine, we should be so grateful... we just need to acknowledge it. This fine Jesus paid will allow us to be without sin on the day of judgement and join our Creator in heaven for eternity. Have a Happy Easter everyone.
