Jesus spent much of His life here in Capernaum on the shore of Galilee. In Hebrew Capernaum is: Kfar Nahum which means the home of the comforter. Wow, God is such a God of detail! More than 20 events from the life of Jesus that are recorded in the gospels happened here. And yet most people of Capernaum missed who He was. They were living lives that caused Jesus to say their fate would be worse than Sodom, (Matthew 11:23). I pray this is never true of you and I… to know facts about Jesus but totally miss the point of His life and ours. Being here. Seeing this. Walking where He walked.
