Jesus was never schooled under any of the rabbinical teachers, such as Hillel, or Gamaliel. Nor did he ever sit at the feet of any of the Gentile philosophers. If he ever had a days tutoring in school, we have no account of it. Even his enemies asked: How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Whereupon he answered: My teaching is not mine but His that sent me. (John 7:15, 16) The only sentence he ever wrote of which we have any knowledge was in the drifting sand. Yet He, in a single speech overturned law and custom held for fifteen hundred years and announced a number of new principles which have reformed the world. Let the doctors, philosophers, and lawyers collect a set of gems that will equal those which Jesus taught or else confess, as those did who heard him, never man spake like this man (John 7:46) - L.R.Wilson- The Triumphant Jesus
