#Jesus was radical. He shook up every institution while He was on earth. His teaching was shocking and unsettling to many. When he told his followers they would have to eat his body and drink his blood .. the vast majority turned and left. Only a faithful few stuck with Him. Jesus was despised and rejected (Isaiah 53:3) .. He was pitied by some ...mocked and ridiculed by those who yelled crucify him ... those masses of people are not that dissimilar to our pop-culture today who mock and ridicule.
