Jesus was the last prophet in Israel. He was called the son of God, an expression that was common use in metaphoric sense in the scripture The Jews falsely charged him of blasphemy by twisting his words they said that he is claiming to be God because of the term “son of God, although they are well learned and knew it’s only a metaphorical term they said to him: John 10:33 “We are not stoning you for any good work, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” they knew he did not say so, but they were making this up to accuse him of blasphemy as he used to call them hypocrites and turn the people against them he answered them: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘”I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’”? (in Psalm 82:6) Jesus was also well learned, and he knows what he is talking about he told them that this term is used for all righteous people- then why do you take exception to me? Christians say Jesus claimed to be God Jews said Jesus claimed to be God both are wrong, the Christians believed the Jewish accusation against Jesus and followed it although it’s indeed blasphemy which Jesus did not commit
