Jesus was the man, Christ was the science. Anton Mesmer We get our English word mesmerize from Mr Mezmers name because of his enchanting philosophies and scientifically mystical teachings. It means to hold the attention of someone to the exclusion of all else or so as to transfix them. Its like listening to your favorite preacher, teacher or speaker. It could be a book, a movie or music that keeps you somewhat spellbound. It’s magical or miraculous, depending on your chosen phraseology. I believe that Jesus was a Metaphysician. Do you consider yourself metaphysical or does the term intimidate you? When I use the word metaphysical, I am connecting the world of Science of Mind to the branch of philosophy that studies ontology. Ontology is the philosophical study of the nature of being, of becoming, of existence or reality. These are all fascinating spiritual and scientific mysteries. Metaphysical ontology deals with questions concerning what entities (realities) exist or can be said to exist, and how such entities can be grouped and/or related to a larger more practical reality. Are you curious or confused? Good! Either will eventually work. The word conscience basically means with knowledge. Omniscience (omni-science), something most people believe God is, means all knowing or knowing all. All you really know is what youve experienced or experimented (tested). And there is Knowledge that transcends faith and/or religion. I challenge you to seek it – it is seeking you. Remember that what you want wants you, because what you want “is” you. For you Bible students, accessing your Christ Self or enjoying Christ Consciousness can be based on the scriptural passage 1 Corinthians 2:16 which says: Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” New Thought advocates call that Divine Mind. Your divine mind or memory is spiritual and accesses the farthest and deepest reaches, regions and rhythms of consciousness. Center yourself in your most earnest thought and meditation and you will hear your soul speak. As Maya Angelou says: Listen to yourself and in that quietude you might hear the voice of God.
