Jhulana Yatra The swing festival (Jhulana Yatra) is a unique opportunity to serve Sri Sri Radha and Krsna in Their eternal pastimes of charm and sweetness. Kavi Karnapura, in his Ananda Vrindavan Campu, shares his meditation with us. In an exceptional part of the forest of Vrindavan, where desire trees made a protective wall, four trees formed a canopy with their intertwining top branches. A central swing was hung with golden ropes. The head of each gopi group built a swing in their respective kunjas heading the four directions from the main swing. Everything appeared decorated with jewels like sapphires and pearls. The presiding deities of the forest participated in the elaboration of the festival by bringing offerings of fruit, flowers and other delightful gifts. Seated on the main swing made with comfortable cushions, Radha and Krsna played holi with the different groups of gopis whilst other attendants played melodious music and others sang the glories of the divine couple. In our Krsna Balarama temple in Sri Vrindavan, Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara will perform this pastime seating on a beautiful swing sumptuously decorated daily, with love and devotion, by different groups of devotees . Each day it will be a new fresh festival. Some devotees will bring food offerings, others flower garlands and everyone will swing Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara, for Their transcendental pleasure, for five days until the new moon rises on Sri Balarama Jayanti. Let our meditation rest on this sweet pastime. Jai Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara!
