Jiiva plays Chandru, an unemployed MBA graduate. His happy-go-lucky nature makes him irresponsible. However, certain incidents that he comes across change his life. I cant reveal too many details about his role as it will give away the storyline, says Elred. With Thulasi Nair teaming up with Jiiva in the film, Elred says, her character is completely opposite to what Jiiva plays. He says, Thulasi plays Sreela, who is just out of college. Unlike Jiivas character, Thulasi plays one of those sincere, responsible girls that a guy would fall for. There is no separate comedy track in the film. It is Jiiva, who has a funny side in Yaan. He has dabbled in comedy, which is one of the highlights, says Elred
