Jilly Pfifferling’s has created a tour of portrait masterpieces in @The Frick Collection using the MustSee guide sharing service. She attended Queenwood School for Girls where she graduated with her International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. She received her B.A from Wheaton College, Norton, Mass. She majored in Art History with a concentration in Italian Renaissance painting. She was an intern at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice the summer between her sophomore and junior year. She returned to Italy for her junior year, which she spent at NYU in Florence. During her senior year, she wrote her Honors Thesis, entitled “Faces of Power” advised by Professor Touba Ghadessi. Jilly graduated summa cum laude, received the Art History prize and was nominated to Phi Beta Kappa. After college, Pfifferling took a year off from school and worked at the Cetamura del Chianti archaeological site in Italy, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and Eva Breuer Art Dealer. Jilly is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Art History at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU. In Spring 2013 Jilly was awarded a Global Research Initiative fellowship from NYU to fund research in Florence. When she isn’t studying, Jilly enjoys learning about food and wine, travelling and watching as many David Attenborough wildlife documentaries as she can find.
