These are the years the Golden Bear finished in second place in majors and that this pair have been runner-up in the Belgray Cup. Champions in 1998, team had their best chance last year but a bogey on #18 continued their unlucky streak. Team has whined so much about the amount of strokes they are getting—or not getting—that the Chairman of the Belgray Cup had Midland trail order more crying towels for this years’ event. Even with Aaron dealing with an injury to his arm in a bicycle accident in the wilderness (it was said that he sewed up his own arm like Rambo did in First Blood), this team is dangerous. Expect to see them get their picture taken in the winners’ circle. Side note: This team had twice as much money bet on them($105.00) than any other team in the field last year. Will the public make them favorites again? Mike Lenahan --- Kirk Hitt (-12 … 5/1) With his long time partner, Chris Tompkins, out with an injury, veteran Mike has picked up a rookie in Kirk. Kirk was a virtual unknown until Vince Feldkamp started to make advances towards him this Summer. He was secretly Vince’s new partner up to the final days until an unexpected change of events broke off the engagement. If Vince wanted him, he must be good. Rookie partners’ normally struggle at first asking in this event but this team has a different look to it. If they have a strong start, team Lenahan could be tough to handle down the stretch. Strong buy.
