His brother had a restaurant in Potters Bar too. Tiny chap who was Turkish but employed Greek blokes. We always called it Tonys Taverna but dont think this was the correct name. Tony used to phone me up on a weekend as ask me to bring a few friends to liven up the place but never took money as he said we were is guest. Even had to force money for drinks on him. Took my mate when he was Mayor and the Mercury printed a spread of him with a Belly Dancer. Tony Moved with his family to New York. Before then this was an Indian restaurant and we only ate their a couple of times. The chef would come out and drink Metaxa with us and then do a Tom Jones number or two.Good times
