Jo and I are off to the Bentley Blockade tomorrow to join many friends who have been on a daily vigil. Its hit the front pages thanks to 16 year old Kudra Falla Ricketts and her excellent April Fools press release. I did such a thing in Washington DC once to throw media off course using an Australian Embassy letterhead! It can work wonders. Metgascon have totally overreacted and threatened Kudra with an investigation by ASIC! They are truly April Fools - and May, June July etc Fools. Do they think we will tire of this and go away? Do they think we are just playing? Protection of the land and aquifers means more to us than their profits mean to them. Theyre outnumbered. They may have the police force, paid for by us, on the side of the interests of a private company, to arrest us, but we will return. How many can they arrest anyway? 1000, 2000? If they all plead not guilty, it would clog up the court system for years. Give up Metgascon and build that solar plant instead as Kudra suggested!
