Jo estimates he killed 50 wasps on the back deck tonight. It started with one wasp, who flew inside a deck rail after Jo hit him with Raid. Soon 7-10 more wasps flew out. Than another 7-10, and another. Some died from being exposed by their brother who flew back into the nest. Some had to be sprayed. Further examination of the deck revealed another large nest in a different section of the deck rail which yielded another pile of dead wasps. Funny thing is I thought we had less of a wasp problem this year than in past years. We have not seen nearly as many in the backyard this year. I guess they were all hiding in our deck rail.
