Job # 14-09 Position: Behavioral Health Claims Director. This is a new position for a start up unit. Location: Scottsdale, AZ. Relocation Assistance Scottsdale, located in the gorgeous Sonora Desert, is part of the greater Phoenix, Arizona, metropolitan area. Locals love the sunny, dry weather, but they can quickly trade the heat for nearby snowy slopes. Scottsdale’s arts community is world-renowned, offering a profusion of exhibitions and performances year-round. Professional sports, outdoor activities, and vacation opportunities also abound in this chic Southwestern city. Type: Insurance Company Salary: Excellent salary & benefits Status: full time with some travel to New Jersey & Maine Duties: • Develop and lead a new medical/clinical unit to improve behavioral medicine claims and their unique challenges. • Interact with all levels of the disability management team. • Employs strong project management skills. • Leads a team of clinicians focused on providing consulting on behavioral health claims • Acts as subject matter experts, leads problem-solving and solutions • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (Roseland, NJ & Portland, Maine; Requirements: • Experienced business leader • Requires a strong background in process analytics, design and implementation • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; nursing degree or other behavioral health degree • Demonstrated success in the development and launch of a start-up organization; • Experience in the development of Behavioral Health claims unit is preferred • Process improvement expertise and certifications (e.g. six sigma, lean, etc.) a plus • Ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities in a matrixed environment • At least 5 years of relevant business leadership experience • Excellent written and verbal & computer communication skills • Minimum 5 years of disability claims insurance experience • Demonstrated success in managing large scale project If you are interested in this position email your resume as an attached word document to Nancy@OccHealthConnections.
