Job Description Insurance and Claims Manager Position Reports To :Chief Finance Officer Job Requirement Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Skills Good communication skills in English and Arabic is an advantage Familiar with standard computer applications and email software Strong negotiation skills Experience 4+ years relevant experience Others (if any) Ability to compose accurate, timely and professional correspondence to all parties associated with cases and claims relating to vehicles, shipment etc. Ability to compile and maintain case and claims files with appropriate documentation. Duties & Responsibilities Responsible to manage claims arising with regards to all company transport trailers, vehicles, cargo/shipments, immovable properties and company vehicles assigned to office staff. Employ proper claim handling techniques to protect the integrity of company brand and providing consistent service quality and streamlined processes to add value for customers. Manage claims processing locally and with the insurance broker/provider etc. as and when required. Investigation in to the claims, evaluation and subsequent settlement of claims within the guidelines of the Company. Proper file composition to support payment of claims. Prepare supporting files to all accidents/damages /missing shipments etc. including photos, police reports, material of evidence, damage estimates and subsequent financial and legal findings. Initiates communication with individuals and companies for damage recovery on shipments etc. and negotiates for adjustment of losses. Keep abreast of risk management and claims management issues related to the transport and shipment . Discuss, analyze the discrepant claimsand evaluate severe and complex claims.. Keep a tab and monitor the surveyors performance. Manage the minor insurance claims and provide analysis to management and settle the claims locally. Regular monitoring and coordination with insurance broker in expediting the claims settlement. Actively participate in policy coverage and liability discussions. Evaluate and investigate incidents that may lead to claims and provide settlement recommendations. Respond to subscriber inquiries on coverage and policy provisions. Provide statistical information on claims to subscribers and outside organizations. Establish good working relationships with external service providers and/or consultants to ensure effective and efficient management of customer service.
