Job Opportunities at The Cultural Conservancy Position: Administrative Manager Under the supervision of the President/CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties: Office Administration •General office management including handling all telephone calls, managing office computer operations, responding to mail, ordering supplies, filing, travel reports and maintaining online and hard copy filing systems. •Work with accountant to prepare receipts and printing financial reports. • Make deposits and perform other bank related communications. •Maintain and update personnel handbook and related documents. Fundraising •With guidance from the Development Director, research options for TCCs future donor management database or customer relations management software for tracking donations, funder opportunities, and deadlines; e.g. SalesForce or another system. •Manage the population and launch of this database. • Manage our individual donor campaign including drafting thank you letters and acknowledgements of individual donations, and tracking each donation. • Record and file all grant proposals and foundation documents. •Support Development Director in grants research and management. Marketing and Outreach •Coordinate with staff and web designer for regular web site updates. • Coordinate with staff for social media campaigns and alignment. •Produce and/or assist with organizational branding and outreach materials. •Help run the organizations booth at various events. • Help train and coordinate volunteers. Assistance to the President and Board Communications •Manage event and meeting logistics, including bi-annual Board meetings and quarterly Executive Committee meetings. • Manage Presidents calendar including scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, and managing correspondences. •Assist President with preparation for meetings including conducting research and compiling background materials. •Perform other duties as assigned. Programs •Assist Vice-President and program staff with administrative needs around setting up and implementing programs. Skills and Qualifications: • Minimum of five years of professional experience in nonprofit administration. • Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent work experience. • Excellent administrative and organizational skills and the ability to manage time and people efficiently. • Experience with SalesForce or other CRM or donor database and general mailing list databases. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in a second language a plus. • Demonstrated ability to work well across cultures; including with donors and diverse populations from around the world. • Passion and commitment to advancing the eco-­cultural revitalization of Indigenous peoples. • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, database management systems, Adobe Creative Suite a plus); willingness to learn additional applications as necessary. • Experience with social media and web design/programming a plus. Location: Successful candidate will work in the Cultural Conservancy office in the historic Thoreau Center for Sustainability in the Presidio of San Francisco, California. Position terms: Half-time (20 hrs/week) for the first 6 months, then possibility of full time position. Salary range: Will vary based upon experience. Position: Video Editor Drawing from years of documentation of our work to support the rich cultural and ecological knowledge of Native peoples, we are creating a series of short videos. First, in the next two months we will produce one short poetic promotional video (~1 min) about all of our work with Indigenous peoples worldwide. Then, we will make a series of short documentary videos on the revitalization of Native watercraft traditions, the cultivation of Native foodways, traditional ecological knowledge, youth voices and leadership, and other topics related to our work. For this work, we are seeking an experienced video editor with deep connection to Native communities and a passion for collaborating in a team. Work will take place in a studio in North Oakland, with equipment provided, working primarily in Adobe Premiere. The editor will work closely with our Media Director, Mateo Hinojosa, to first log and capture a significant amount of footage in various formats, and tag it for editing in our various videos. Then, the editor will edit these videos, working closely with the Director and TCC President. Skills and Qualifications: •Proficiency in Premiere or Final Cut Pro a must (Premiere preferred). After Effects, Speedgrade, Audition, and Photoshop skills a big plus. •Minimum of three years of professional experience in audiovisual production. •Experience with distribution and social media a plus. •Passion and commitment to advancing the eco-cultural revitalization of Indigenous peoples.
