NEWSCAST DIRECTOR (2)positions - 1 weekday and 1 weekend) Are you a maestro in the Control Room? We are looking for newscast directors for our morning and evening newscasts who can roll with the punches and manage non-traditional newscasts that can turn on a dime. You must be able to handle quick changing newscasts filled with live reports and non-traditional sources of audio and video. Knowledge of manual and automated control room systems as well as newsroom computer systems such as iNews and/or ENPS. Education: Bachelors degree preferred. Experience: At least 2 years experience directing live and pre-produced television newscasts. Familiarity with automated newsroom control systems preferred. In addition to maintenance duties for Engineering, this employee will assist the VP of Local Content and the Assistant News Director with all News technical support, special events and emergency operational procedures. He or she will support in-studio and on-location special event logistics and also perform other duties as assigned. He or she will assist the Director of Engineering and Manager of Engineering with technical improvements and repairs. .
