Job Opportunity: Internal Sales Co-ordinator in Randburg Salary: R10k pm - negotiable Brief Job Description: - An internal sales co-ordinator is required to promote inhouse and house account sales of barcoding equipment, consumables and labelling solutions into primarily the manufacturing industry as well as to retail, industrial and corporate sectors. - The product range comprises barcoding equipment with specialist applications, as well as labelling solutions and stock control solutions. Key tasks will be to: - develop and expand the current market; - work closely with external sales representatives to service the client’s needs; - manage the sales process, - type and send quotations, - deal with client queries, - send samples etc. - In addition to this the representative will be required to service all new business enquiries that come in via trade shows, telephonically, or in electronic format. - This candidate should have the ability and skill, to demonstrate to end-users the functional features of a barcoding scanner / printer as well as present consumable solutions that are offered along with the hardware or alone. - IE Barcode printer, scanner, labels and ribbons. - Full training will be given. - Attainment of new business and customer retention will be the sole responsibility of this dynamic person. - On-going knowledge skills needed to keep up with the technology trends and innovations and being able to stay ahead of the competition. - Full product training will be provided in-house. Summary: The role of a sales coordinator is to promote in-house and house account sales. To grow the division by acquisition of new business by processing quotation requests from customers, actively seeking the conversion of incoming inquiries to orders and to act in a customer service role between the sales representatives and customers. Basically a link between Representatives and Customers, other Coordinators and new business. Core Responsibilities will Include: - Make outbound sales calls to all house account customers with the view to increasing turnover, as well as customer retention. - Typing and sending Quotations for both the Cape and Joburg branch - Following up on quotations sent - To process and close sales enquires received by phone, fax, email and personal visits (to reception) in relation to company business - To solve client problems by liaising with the other staff and the customer. - Liaising with internal staff on behalf of reps re orders in the system, deliveries, due dates pricing etc. - Control and replenish marketing material, sample books and brochures. - Minutes of sales meetings & distribution thereof. - Liaising with Cape Branch, in terms of Representative activity and House account activity. - Loading new customer accounts onto Pastel Evolution - Processing, logging and collating trade show leads - Taking Calls from reps while on the road to organise any needs they may have for pricing/general enquiries/orders in the system etc. Skills and Experience - Very strong telephonic skills - Good command of the English language both written and verbal - Some conversational Afrikaans will be beneficial - Self motivated - Good typing skills - Must be Computer literate incl. Microsoft office (but not Access) - Some knowledge of IT networking and operating systems (very basic) - Creative logical Skills – “Best possible Solution” - Problem Solving Skills - Interpersonal Skills - Business Writing skills - Strong Sales skills and experience (Boardroom level as well as farmer) (vital) - Pre – Post Sales Support - Team Player - Trade show company representation (presentable) - Energetic, Friendly Outgoing personality - Dynamic and able to close the deal Qualifications - Min - Matric Qualification (English a must) OR Equivalent - Sales/secretarial diplomas/certificates/courses - Afrikaans knowledge helpful - At least 5 years experience/background in a sales secretarial / representative role - Valid Driver’s License and own RELIABLE personal vehicle. The Ideal person for this position would be: - Well groomed, well spoken, dynamic and outgoing personality, able to give meticulous attention to detail, with the abovementioned skills. - They must be able to work in a team. - The candidate must have exceptional telephonic skills. - Must reside close to our offices in Randburg or in the northern areas so there will be no traffic issues. - Presentable, well groomed, articulate, self motivated and driven sales persons will be considered for the position. - The suitable candidate must have a good command of the English language, have conversational Afrikaans language skills, must have logic and analytical skills as well as exceptional customer relation & selling skills. - The position can be pressurized, and the candidate should be able to cope well under pressure and have a good sense of humour and be a generally outgoing people person able to work well with others as a team . - Must be available 5 weekends a year for conference and/or trade show participation when/if needed.
