Job Position : Sales Engineer Ref : 1565 - Bruno Herselman Location : Port Elizabeth Salary : R40 000 to R48 000 per month + Pension Fund, Medical Aid and 13th Cheque Qualifications / Requirements: •BSc / National Diploma in Mechanical Chemical Engineering / Chemistry or alternatively Marketing Degree / National Diploma from a recognized institution •Previous experience in an Engineering environment •Experience within the drilling industry •Experience with raise bore, blast hole, open cast mining and exploratory drilling highly advantageous •Proven ability to produce written reports on a full range of selling activities •Good communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail is considered important •Valid unendorsed Drivers license in new card format, able and willing to travel Key Performance Areas: •Sales and marketing with specific reference to open cast mining and drilling industry •Continuous contact with customers and / or potential customers by means of: ◦Personal face to face visits ◦Telephonic conversation ◦Electronic mails ◦Merited and controlled customer entertainment •Get feedback from customers regarding: ◦Reply on enquiries ◦Product quality ◦Customer satisfaction ◦Possible future business opportunities ◦Improvement on services and products •Prepare quotes: ◦On quantity and exact details of products required by customer ◦Indicate price, delivery date, special terms and conditions, payment terms, laws, delivery date, special terms and conditions, payment terms, laws, regulations, Vat and transport ◦Confirm that customer did receive the quote ◦Discuss / negotiate price, delivery date, special terms and conditions, payment terms, laws regulations ◦Investigate reasons for unsuccessful quotes •Material: ◦Monitor material stock levels ◦Monitor customer demands ◦Monitor product demands •Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors: ◦Enquire if suppliers / sub-contractors have the capability, ability and resources to meet all the customer and product requirements ◦On outstanding quotes ◦Status of jobs in production process ◦Delivery dates ◦Issue project progress reports on customers request •Assist in-house departments: ◦Drawing office ◦Provide information, drawings, work instructions and procedures ◦Production Department ◦Liaise with relevant Production Department and provide technical information when required •Quality assurance: ◦Carry out all duties in accordance with the quality assurance procedures / departmental works instructions Job Position : Sales Co-ordinator Ref : 1551 - Wayne Zonneveld Location : Port Elizabeth Salary : R8000 to R10 000 per month commensurate with experience and qualification + Medical Aid and Pension Fund Qualifications / Requirements: •Matric •Drivers license (Code 8) •Computer literacy: Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint, Ms Outlook - intermediate •Previous exposure to major RFPs and tenders advantageous •Strong planning and organisational skills •Pleasant telephone voice and manner, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) •Drive for results and self-development evident •Able to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines •Sales orientated: understanding customer and market dynamics, competition, sales principles and processes •Meticulous attention to detail, precision and accuracy in all tasks undertaken •A team player with a positive attitude •Customer focus and the ability to demonstrate initiative Key Performance Areas: •Provide support to sales team members •Make and administer reservations as per customer requirements, going the extra mile to successfully meet customer requests •Prepare quotes, proposals, tenders etc •Prepare monthly and quarterly reports •Investigate and provide timely feedback on billing errors and accident claim queries •Invoicing for major customers •Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive and professional interaction •Ensure accurate record keeping of all pricing and sales activity reports, including the timely submission thereof •Other sales coordination and general administrative duties as required
