Internationally recognized as a comprehensive technical college, CNA-Q is committed to high quality, student-centered education. This commitment is reflected through state of the art facilities, accessible and responsive technology programs and strong partnerships with industry. The college in Qatar is owned by the State but as part of the Comprehensive Agreement, operates as College of the North Atlantic-Qatar. Only CNA programs or CNA-approved programs are offered, all with CNA instructors and staff. With more than 550 staff and 4500 full and part time students, CNA-Q is one of Qatar’s largest post-secondary institutions. By providing training in a range of technical areas including Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Industrial Trades, Business Studies and Information Technology, CNA-Q brings the State closer to the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. In 2013, we celebrate a Decade of Excellence of CNA’s presence in Qatar with a three-year extension of the Comprehensive Agreement. DUTIES: The instructor will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of courses within the Business Studies (Marketing) program. S/he will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. The instructor will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area. Instructors will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. All employees are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the College and beyond. The successful candidate possesses these qualifications and competencies: A Bachelor’s degree Business/Commerce with a specific concentration in Marketing and several years related work experience are required. A thorough knowledge of the fundamentals and practices of Marketing is also required. An MBA would be an asset. Instructor training and experience teaching at a post-secondary level are definite assets. Expertise in curriculum development is desirable. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills and expert fluency in English are required. Effective problem solving skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of the organization are also required. Candidates must possess strong computer skills and knowledge of learning technologies. A demonstrated commitment to working in a team and learner centered environment is also required. Intercultural competence including intercultural sensitivity and adaptability, and an ability to behave appropriately and effectively in another culture are essential. Knowledge of the CNA college system is a definite asset. NOTE: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the State of Qatar visa process.
