Job Posting: Logistics Specialist with ZF North America in Northville, MI Monday, December 15 (Application Deadline) Position Summary: This Supply Chain Management Specialist is responsible for performing in-depth analysis of current supply chain programs and driving continuous improvement of process implementation in order to support and fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers across the North American region (RN). Position Responsibilities: * Conduct GMMOG audits for existing suppliers and potential new suppliers; drive corrective actions as appropriate. * Develop, implement and lead new supply chain processes and providers to support North American ZF locations. * Use corporate tools such as COPRA for supply chain cost analysis. * Develop reports and key performance indicators as requested by management and other locations. * Act as the Cross functional liaison between Supplier Development, Purchasing and MRO Purchasing. * Work closely with suppliers to develop and improve supply chain processes. * Oversee the overall logistics processes by reviewing international network design, cross docking, billing, SOP’s as well as internal logistics floor layout/warehouse design, warehouse location analysis, consignment, kitting and racking/storage. * Lead overall customs compliance by analyzing FTA/NAFTA requirements * Oversee materials management and internal material flow using Kanban/Pull systems and barcoding methods. * Lead implementation of consolidation/deconsolidation centers. * Analyze packaging management in returnable vs. expendable, standards and PFEP. * Plan inventory optimization, operational metrics, MRP/ERP and eCommunications * Perform regular analysis using Microsoft® Access and Excel in order to support the corporate initiatives. * Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts. * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies. * Perform other duties as assigned.
