Job advertisement: Dyna Moves - Removal porter / packer / driver Dyna Moves has grown significantly since being started by brothers Lewis and Elliot in 2011. We have ploughed everything back into the business and have invested in vehicles, packing materials, storage space, a great website and SEO marketing to promote ourselves. We now require a removals porter/packer/driver to join our team, based in Norwich. Dyna Moves began delivering pieces of furniture locally in an around Norwich, but we soon spotted a gap in the market for affordable and flexible house removals both locally and nationwide. So we progressed. And, in the past twelve months we have completed several overseas house moves to France, and have moved people to and from virtually every major city in the UK. Weve worked for the council, NHS and other large organisations in that time. We are now on the shortlist for many people to consider when moving home. A great achievement in a short space of time. Unique customer service, great work ethic and proud standards of work are what set us apart from the rest. We are a forward-thinking company with a can-do attitude. Recently, we have purchased another 3.5t Luton vehicle to assist with our larger moves, and offer more flexibility when doing smaller moves such as single items/part loads. And now we need someone to be part of a two or three man team, which may at times involve driving duties. We are particularly keen to hear from you if youve worked in the removals industry before, or are currently working in the industry. If you have knowledge of how to load the van, prepare and pack items for packing jobs, and driving experience this will also be an advantage. Youll be working in a small team, so youll pay a vitally important role in the company. We believe that removals, contrary to popular belief, is a very skilled job when done properly. We are looking for someone that has the strength, with the brain power, to fulfil this challenging role. Your duties will typically include: Pre packing a variety of different items before move day Liasing with the customer to ensure everything is prepared for moving day Checking with the customer which items are to be moved when you arrive Taking apart larger items of furniture where applicable for packing and removal Removal of doors to get large or awkward pieces of furniture out or in the building Driving to the new location where applicable Assisting in the unloading of items, paying specific attention to where the customer would like them We can offer some on the job training, but with the owner looking to further drive business development, we are looking for someone with the maturity and experience to handle these tasks on their own shoulders effectively. We are based in Norwich, and due to the unpredictable workload it would be beneficial if you are based nearby. Hours Variable You could be working anywhere between 20-60 hours per week paid on an hourly basis. Weekends are often a necessity. £ per hour £7-10 depending on experience. Overnight stays may be required on certain jobs. Accommodation and expenses will be covered. Part of our commitment to our customers is that we take the rough with the smooth. Sometimes, a move will go quicker than expected and youll be home by mid afternoon. On the contrary, everything possible could go wrong and you could be working until 10pm.
