Job alert! Entertainments website assistant This is an exciting chance to join the news team at Scottish Provincial Press, the Inverness-based regional media group. We are recruiting an assistant to help maintain and enhance our growing online presence. The primary role of the successful candidate will be to source and edit the online listings for the “Whats On” section of SPP’s eleven newspaper websites. Based in our newsroom in Inverness, you will be required to input event details for publication on the web and in print, deal with individuals and companies on the phone and by email, source photography in some cases, and contribute ideas on web content. You will also be expected to assist SPP’s editorial web specialist in populating a range of niche websites. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, flexible, and a problem solver with a good telephone manner and communication skills. A knowledge of computers is desirable but training will be given. The role is part-time and will involve working 20 hours-a-week. Closing date 6 December 2013.
