Job of the Day: Mechanic - City of Davenport A signing bonus of $2500.00 will be given for this position. The bonus will consist of $1000.00 upon hire and $1500.00 after successful completion of a six-month probationary period. This position reconditions gas and diesel motors; disassembles, repairs, grinds or replaces worn parts; tunes engines, adjusts timing, replaces condensers, coils and other parts; sets injection systems. Inspects and repairs brake systems, and electrical, heating, air conditioning, cooling, fuel supply and other auxiliary systems; re-wires circuits, replaces brake linings, cuts and replaces hoses.
