Job opportunity with ICC Description: Information Center for Community (ICC) is non-government, non-political, non-profit association and officially registered charity with the Royal Cambodian Government. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in ICC’s work in Siem Reap working with government, NGOs and community members. Information Center for Community, ICC is looking for a high quality motivated candidate to fill in the position of a full-time Computer Teacher. Computer Teacher • Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs, when applicable • Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement • Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures, i.e. attendance and issues report, teaching aids that have been utilized, weekly reports, assessments and the like • Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process, i.e. cleanliness and safety of the classroom, manages the classroom, provides discipline and/or encouragement as required, utilizes teaching aids effectively, class room posters/decorations and the like • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other stakeholders • Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for class level, subject area, and any other contributing factors • Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: preparing lesson plans in advance, meeting deadlines, honoring the term planner as prepared by the Head of Education Requirements • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field minimum 1 year experience in IT field or pursuing for Bachelor degree level • Good Communication skills and self-motivation • Be able to self-manage assigned tasks and self-motivated - innovative, and willing to learn new technologies • Pleasant personality, positive attitude, friendly, hardworking and honest • Ability to maintain computer hardware and software and manage a local network • Teaching skills and experience with respect to sensitive subjects • Excellent communication skills in both Khmer and English language • Ability to work in an international environment with volunteers • Should have a strong problem solving skills • Ability and confidence to work independently when needed Honest, reliable and flexible Application Information Please send Cover Letter and CV not later than February 11th, 2014 to the ICC or send via email or contact via phone below.
