Job vacancy in Santo Domingo: Peace Corps/Dominican Republic seeks two (2) full-time Program Specialists: A Youth Families and Community Development Program Specialist to support the youth sector and the Peace Corps Volunteers that work within it. A Community Economic Development Program Specialist to support the Community Economic Development sector and the Peace Corps Volunteers that work within it. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (“Licenciatura”) in related discipline (e.g. psychology, education social work, business administration) Minimum 3 years experience in related discipline Experience working with international volunteer organizations or has cross-cultural experience. Demonstrated English/Spanish language capabilities for written and oral communication.(English level to be tested thru an exam). Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to work in a cross-cultural setting. Strong active listening and counseling skills Teamwork oriented and customer service attitude Demonstrated command of all Microsoft Office applications Valid DR driver’s license and Dominican cédula (National Identification Card) Available to travel 40% of the time Ability to pass a background check The annual compensation for this personal service contract position ranges from RD$455,966.00 to RD$627,097.00 Normal initial hire is near the beginning of the range.
