Joel and I have begun a couples devotional together and I wanted to share the great advice. A Couple After Gods Own Heart Lesson for wives from Eve 1.) Remember your purpose - Its to bring glory to God as a woman who knows Christ, to love your husband, and to love your children. (Titus 2:4-5) - Genesis 2:18 It is not good that mad should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him. * Eves first and number role and the purpose for her creation was to complement, complete, and fulfill Adam and to be a helper to him; a wife. - Today I am my husbands helper. (Something to remember each day) 2.) Always Ask - When in doubt, check it out * It never hurts to run an issue by your man - 1 Corinthians 11:3 The head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man. * A husband is responsible for his wife. * Ask first, act second - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. 3.) Know your enemy and how to fight back - Temptation is an every day occurrence. Prepare yourself for it. * Begin your day in Gods Word - Dont tempt your husband to sin * 2 wrongs dont make a right 4.) Forgive your spouse - Ephesians 4:32 We are to forgive one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. 5.) Move forward - When Adam and Eve sinned the brave twosome stepped out of a sinless, perfect paradise into a world filled with hardship. This couple suffered the consequences of their sin, but they went on. They moved ahead together. - God has provided all you need as a wife to go on to wherever God and your husband leads you.
