Joel, one of our upper limb patients, recently commented on the new greifer he received last week at our office. Joel received ottobocks electric greifer to use for his job. Joel also has a HiFi Interface with i-Limb Ultra Revolution multi-articulating hand for more everyday use, like tying his shoes and getting dressed. For Joel, the greifer will be used for more heavy duty use, handling tools, working with sawdust, etc. We believe upper limb wearers should receive multiple systems because our hands perform complex motions and manipulations as opposed to simple ambulation. Joel is a great example of an upper limb wearer who is not going to let anything stop him at home or at work!
