Johannesburg Transport Scam Alert: by Janine Lee Smith I posted an advert on Gumtree Looking for transport to work and back, I got a response from a man Named David Stoffberg, Claiming to be from a company called Stoffberg Carpool & Rideshare services cc Linbro Park Johannesburg ( Reg No: .2006/21-0132-89/14) on the 14 May 2014. He promised me a service but I had to pay a deposit to secure a seat. Which I paid for both myself and for my fiancé. I was promised contracts on the 23 May 2014 and the driver was to contact us regarding pick up times and so on. I received no contracts and no calls from any drivers over the weekend. I Got hold of Davids partner Marsha Stoffberg on Monday morning the 26th May 2014 and she explained that my contract is only due to commence on the 1 June 2014, and David made a stuff up. Which I accepted but requested some more information about their company before I paid them anything else. They claim to be registered with the SA Department of Transport and She got a woman Named Roslyn Rania (Who claims to be an admin Clerk for the SADOT) to email me with proof the company is legitimate. Below are all the details I have for these People.
