Johannesburg – A man was killed and another one seriously injured on Monday after the sedan in which they were travelling in came off the M1 highway and rolled down the embankment. According to witnesses, the sedan appeared to have gone straight from the fast lane and swerved through the traffic crashing through the barrier and down the embankment. The car reportedly landed in crumpled mess in a ditch down the embankment. ER24 reported that both the men were ejected from the vehicle in the crash and were found lying several meters away from the car wreck. The survivor was transported to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital by ambulance, paramedics and firefighters had to carry the man up the embankment to the waiting ambulance.
