Mathew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Mathew 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. Mathew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. Mathew 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, ============================================================== Mathew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- see ISAIAH 14:14- Therefore the Lord HIMSELF SHALL GIVE YOU A SIGN; Behold, a Virgin shall Conceive, and bear a SON, and call his name IMMANUEL. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ see ISAIAH 9:6-7-8- For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE. [7] Of the increase of his government and peace, there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal [ burning desire ] of the LORD of hosts, will perform [do] this. verse [8] The LORD sent a WORD into JACOB, and it hath lighted [come to be known] upon ISRAEL. =================================================================== Mathew 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: Mathew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. =================================================================== ISAIAH 11:10- And, in that day there shall be a root of JESSE, which shall stand for and ENSIGN [a signal ] of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. =================================================================== MICAH 5:2 But thou, Beth-le-hem Eph-ra-tah, , though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee, shall he [JESUS ] come forth unto me, that is to be ruler in ISRAEl : whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
