John 17:23-24 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. (ESV) God the father loved me before the foundations of the earth and before I was reconciled by the blood of Jesus. I am learning what the implications in my life (interactions with my children, in ministry, with my wife and my perception of self) of the truth that God loves me as much as he loves Jesus even before knew him. How powerful and life changing this could be if I could respond to God and those around me in such love; sacrificially loving people and myself before anything is done to benefit me.
