John 3:17 (NKJV) 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Jesus, the Messiah. He came to earth and walked among us. Immanuel, God with us, came not to condemn us, but to save us from our sin. It is through His life, death and resurrection that God offers us freedom from sin and death. It is through His life, death and resurrection that God builds a bridge to close the gap between sinful man and a holy God. So as we celebrate His birth today, do so knowing that Jesus, the Christ, was the ultimate expression of love and forgiveness. No greater love was known before, nor has greater love existed since.
