John 5… In Jerusalem a man had been crippled for thirty-eight years. He spent every day of his life hoping for a miracle. When Jesus saw the man laying there, He asked a very pointed questions: Do you want to be made well? The mans response was interesting as he began listing all of his excuses, Im all alone. I dont have anyone to help me. Is it any wonder that he had not been healed? Jesus looked at him and basically said, If you are serious about getting well, you want to get out of this mess, get up off the ground, take up your bed, and be on your way. When the man did was Jesus told him to do, he was healed! Please read John 5. We can often times be our own worst enemy in situations rather than relying on God.
