John 8: 12l I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the Light of life. NKJV. Until we began our journey with the Lord Jesus Christ, and started our walk in the Light that shines in the world, there was always trials and tribulations that surrounded us, and we used the excuse that if I could just get a break things would be much better. However; How often have we seen those who seem to have all the breaks struggle with their own lives, bemoaning their situations, saying to themselves, if I could just have this, or if I had turned this way instead of that, it would have turned out much better. We envied those who seemed to have it all, but in reality, they are just like us. They to walk in the ways of the world, just as we did. Walking in darkness without direction for our lives. Today though, walking with the Lord Jesus Christ, we have a pathway that is clear, and the road before us is filled with hope and not despair. Its not always filled with all that we desire, but we know that we now have a fellowship with our Father who has given us life and breath for this day, and eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. What a difference it is to know that the Light that God has supplied us with, is an eternal light, it shall never dim, nor go out. A light that needs neither the sun or the moon, for the Lamb is the light. How sweet it is to know that the Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ is our Light and pathway forever. So let our prayer this day, be for those who continue to walk in the darkness of the world, struggling in their daily efforts to try and make ends meet by their own accord, that today would be the day in there lives that Gods eternal Light, the Lord Jesus Christ would shine on them, and that they would realize that the time is now, and that the Hand of God is waiting to guide them down the path of eternal life. Pray that our family, friends, neighbors, enemies, strangers, and all those who are walking according to their own ways, that when they hear the call of God they will stop and ask for His directions and guidance today. Amen.
