All rights reserved worldwide. These are my thoughts, please share yours. 52 They made a judgment on Jesus after He healed their people and raised some even from death. People such as this may never come to true faith. Some people won’t listen to God’s influence. Yes they did die but because of their faith they will live again. Jews did not believe in an afterlife but just a sleep. Abraham and the prophets avoided the death Jesus was talking about, He was talking about the death that never stops, hell. Believers pass from a life of serving the Lord to a life serving the Lord. The difference is the place this service will be done. In the life to come we will not have distractions of this world. Salivation is allowing God to lead us with His truth. 53 Jesus is greater than Abraham because Abraham was a man blessed by God but, Jesus is God who blesses man. Jesus is the only way to the Father. Abraham was promised Jesus. The prophets spoke of Jesus and look forward to His coming. Jesus changed the world which He made. They may have been seeking the truth but He was standing right before them.
